What this job involves: JLL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for an exciting opportunity at pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in East Syracuse, NY. The role involves performing repair, maintenance, and replacement of various mechanical systems crucial to maintaining production flow throughout the facility. This includes work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, plumbing components, HVAC systems, plant steam components, leak detection systems, and on-site vehicles and equipment.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as specified in Maximo Job plan within given deadlines
• Assist the operations team in maintaining and repairing building and equipment
• Conduct minor plumbing repairs (pneumatic and hydronic)
• Carry out facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions affecting client occupancy and operations
• Respond effectively to all emergencies
• Comply with safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping in work areas
• Recognize and propose solutions for safety hazards
• Ensure compliance with State, County, and City Ordinances, Codes, and Laws
• Safely handle, store, and dispose of hazardous materials
• Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs
• Document work performance and materials procurement as directed
• Participate in on-call rotation
• Conform to GDP standards and properly utilize CMMS systems

Work Schedule:

• Regular Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Additional Requirement: Participation in on-call rotation

Desired or Preferred Experience and Technical Skills:

• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Knowledge of plumbing systems and components
• Familiarity with HVAC systems and their maintenance
• Understanding of plant steam components
• Experience with leak detection systems
• Ability to perform maintenance on various vehicles and equipment (work trucks, forklifts, lifts, etc.)
• Knowledge of dock levelers and garage door maintenance
• Familiarity with CMMS systems, preferably Maximo

Required Skills and Experience:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical capability to perform the required tasks, including lifting and working at heights
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies
• Ability to adapt to and comply with GDP standards and CMMS system requirements

Estimated total compensation for this position:

50,000.00 – 56,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
