Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Apprentice (Technical Lead B). This role will support the production team to achieve plan by continuously improving on process efficiency and line performance.

 

Reporting Location: Los Angeles, CA

Pay Range: $28.23 - $39.83 / hour (based on experience)
Shift Differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate shift differential paid for applicable hours worked

Schedule
Monday - Friday 3:00 am – 11:30 am
Ability to work holidays and weekends per business needs

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide technical support to operators in team resolution process
Complete repairs to equipment as necessary
Communicate with production lines about machine down time and identified issues 
Train at each machine center and assist other team members
Assist with break coverage and machine operation as needed or as assigned by shift resource; this will be a member of the operations group and as such the expectation is that this role needs to be able to support all machine centers as needed
Work with a sense of urgency to repair and startup lines as quickly as possible
Develop a working knowledge of basic maintenance principles

Qualifications

Qualifications/Skills Required
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
Demonstrated safe work habits 
Solid background in all aspects of mechanical maintenance 
Reading and use of blueprints and technical manuals 
Preventive maintenance, mechanical and electrical repair, troubleshooting using a data driven systematic approach, rebuilding equipment, lifting, rigging, lubrication. 
Using hand and specialty tools 
Understanding and use of precision measurement
Must be proficient with TPM and the principles of AM and PM
Must be flexible to support business needs, able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime; and to be able to work (On Call) in emergency situations
Motivated self starter, self learner with the ability to work in a team and/or independent environment
Ability to be self-managed, scheduling and performing work, often unsupervised
Computer skills and ability to utilize SAP work order system
Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time, bend, stoop and climb
Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. and stand on your feet for extended periods of time throughout the day
Ability to work in adverse environmental conditions, including inclement weather and changes in temperature
