Seeking a talented, talented Maintenance Mechanic to help our organization grow and improve efficiencies.  Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this position will provide technical support, hands-on execution and direction to facilitate maintenance activities including troubleshooting, major overhauls, and critical downtimes.

Ways you will make a difference

• Disassembles, inspects, reassembles, troubleshoots, repairs and replaces malfunctioning parts or equipment (motors, switches, sensors, input /output boards, controllers, gears, sprockets chains, knives, etc. using test equipment and meters such as VOM, megger, amp probe and PC.
• Cleans, lubricates and adjusts guides, flap tuckers, sealing jaws, sensors, and timing for process systems of packaging equipment to improve efficiency, quality, or operation.
• Performs routine preventive maintenance procedures as per schedule.
• Installs change parts (pockets, flap tuckers, film folding shoulders etc.) on production machinery to run a different size, shape or product.
• Reads blueprints, diagrams, programs /ladder logic and machinery manuals to diagnose problems, identify parts, and learn proper equipment operation.
• Installs new equipment.
• Actively seeks to find problems in assignment area and correct before the problem becomes critical with high supervision.
• Communicates conditions of equipment by: completing appropriate maintenance records, transferring knowledge of conditions to incoming mechanics at shift change, and informing his supervisor of significant problems.
• Displays cooperation by working closely with Production personnel.
• Improves work related skills by actively pursuing outside schooling or plant provided programs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills that will make you successful

High school Diploma or GED. 2-year Technical Degree in Maintenance field such as Industrial Maintenance or Mechanical Maintenance, OR related area of study, OR Journeyman Certification, preferred

Experiences that will support your success

• 3 years of experience as a Lubricator for internal applicants and show proof of attending a technical school pursuing a Technical Degree in Maintenance field or related area of study OR,
• 3 years of prior experience as an industrial Maintenance Mechanic OR,
• Completion of 2-year Technical Degree in Maintenance field such as Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance or related area of study AND 1 year of prior experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic.
  • Experience must include diagnostic troubleshooting, repairing and replacing defective parts, adjusting machinery, and modifying units to meet proper operating specifications.
• Experience in a food-manufacturing environment is preferred
