We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager with the willingness and ability to learn technical details to join the Asset Management team at Stolthaven.

Stolthaven Terminals, a division of Stolt-Nielsen Limited (SNL), is the specialist storage provider for bulk liquids: chemicals, clean petroleum gases, vegetable oils, biofuels and oleochemicals. We are continuously seeking how we can add value for our customers.

What will you be doing

As Maintenance Manager you are responsible for all technical assets of the terminal and you will lead the daily asset management activities. You are primarily responsible for the execution of all (maintenance) activities and portfolio of sustaining capex projects. You work closely with your local and global asset management colleagues to develop and improve standards and procedures. You are responsible for the 5-year maintenance plan and the associated sustaining capex, including the implementation of corrective and preventive maintenance according to this plan.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the operational side of the Asset Management department under the supervision of the Asset or General Manager. Amongst others develop the right competencies and skillset of the team together with HR and ensure that all roles identified in the Asset Management Plan are represented in the team.
  • Report KPIs on maintenance and projects, including the financial and planning KPIs of the portfolio of sustaining (capex) projects executed either by the asset management department (typically modifications).
  • Optimize the use of currently available Enterprise Asset Management System to maintain accurate maintenance administration & document control (incl. as-built files) compliant with internal and external regulation. Use the system for an efficient workflow management and planning/scheduling; Participate in daily/weekly planning meetings together with operations and other functions.
  • Laisse with local and global stakeholders regularly regarding technical, procurement, operational and other standards and best practices and participate in work groups to improve global asset management procedures/policies and co-decide on key issues affecting the terminal.
  • Create a safe and efficient work environment for maintenance and project works against optimal costs and duration without compromising on safety and quality; Responsible for allocation of the right people and resources and coordination of the interfaces between all people and projects.
  • Ensure all activities are performed in full compliance with legislative requirements, adopted SHEQ policies, programs and standards & organizational policies; Assists in the development and updating as necessary of such procedures and pro-actively recommends updates; Report any near misses, incidents, accidents or risks. Investigate technical incidents and/or participate in such investigation.
  • Identify opportunities and jointly work on implementation on new maintenance techniques and innovations such as Risk Based Inspections, Predictive/Prescriptive maintenance, use of IIOT and robotics etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or similar degree preferred.
  • Experience within a storage terminal or chemical process environment is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 to 7 year of experience (depending on terminal size and complexity) in a technical environment of which some years in a leadership position; Experience in managing small CAPEX projects and/or leading M&R function in a complex facility.
  • Demonstrated capability for training employees, facilitating meetings and events, written reports and presentations and project updates within his/her facility.
  • Certifications such as PMP, IPMA, PRINCE2, CRE, Institute for Asset Management are a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and other tools as needed for his field of activities.
