About the Role
Essity North America Health and Medical Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager that will be responsible for the performance management and supervision of 3-4 industrial maintenance technicians and all maintenance related activities for our advanced wound care manufacturing site located in Manchester, CT. We are looking for a transformational leader who embodies our values, is not afraid to challenge, innovate, experiment, and move with a sense of urgency.
What You Will Do
Support management of technical stops, corrective maintenance, and the elimination of breakdown times by applying DDS and problem-solving tools.
Work closely with department managers and production team leads to schedule equipment maintenance activities.
Supports planning for installation and validation of newly installed equipment and maintains all existing equipment.
Maintain calibration certification for required equipment and review certificates for accuracy upon receipt.
Ensure the safety of equipment and facilities and manage lock-out / tag-out system.
Establishes a Maintenance Meeting to plan all maintenance related activities (Planning and Scheduling).
Facilitates the application of systems expert maintenance and contributes to the systems for team maintenance.
Proven ability to develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize equipment reliability and performance.
Owns planned and unplanned maintenance processes.
Owns the maintenance management information system (incl. Technical Database, SAP etc.)
Owns the management of budget, expenses, and P&L responsibilities directly related to maintenance.
Coaches team members in all behaviors and tools in terms of Maintenance.
Trains and transfer the knowledge to the maintenance technicians, and identifies competences need for the site.
Additional responsibilities as required.
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or vocational certification preferred.
5+ years maintenance or production tech experience in a manufacturing environment with 2+ years in a supervisory role.
Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems, with demonstrated proficiency in maintenance best practices and methodologies.
Experience with automated production lines preferred.
Conversion line technical knowledge a plus.
Proven ability to lead CapEx projects up to $1MM, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Proven ability to develop and implement maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize equipment reliability and performance.
Possess excellent analytical, problem solving and project management skills.
Must be comfortable with frequently walking, standing, and lifting & carrying up to 50 lbs.
Travel requirement: 20%

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary of $90K - $115K + annual incentive bonus + benefits
