Compensation: $34.35 - $37.95/hr

Principal Accountabilities 

• Perform repetitive tasks
• Using hand tools to perform maintenance on production machinery
• Ensuring food safety and quality
• Cleanliness and housekeeping
• Help enforce Cargill policies and procedures
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Must be 18 years or older 
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Basic Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Able to perform physical tasks (kneeling, bending, climbing), work in elevated areas (4ft and above) and able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations
• Must be able to provide leadership to the other mechanics in terms of troubleshooting, prioritization of work, communicating with other departments or maintenance management
• Must be able to support with training and onboarding of new mechanics and operators
• Support the maintenance supervisor with assigned action items relating to plant equipment, RCA’s dent’s and shift pass down
• Act as a back up to the supervisor to represent the maintenance department in meetings, meeting with contractors/ vendors, support maintenance scheduling/execution, or other duties as assigned
• Leader of daily communication report stakeholder safety, production impacts, scheduled work, emergent work, maintenance matrix of the day
• Minimum of 2 year maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility 
• Perform advanced preventative maintenance (PM’s) on plant equipment
• Must be able to learn and use SAP to document work hours, search for parts, and generate work orders
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical power, control systems, and control powers
• Use measuring devices accurately (metric and standard).  Use multimeters, megohmmeters,  and any other test equipment needed to aid in troubleshooting and repair of equipment
• Other duties as assigned 

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous production or maintenance experience (5+years preferred)
• Previous Cargill experience
• Work history in the past 12 months
• Leadership experience in a maintenance environment
• Knowledge of safety and safety requirements in an industrial/plant setting
