Position Profile: Maintenance provides regular upkeep to Milestone locations, keeping the buildings and grounds clean and neat, in a safe manner that meets agency standards. They use paint, cleaning chemicals, and carpentry tools to maintain equipment and other supplies while providing back up cleaning support when needed.

Qualifications Required: High school diploma or GED required. Must have a valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation. Experience in painting and light carpentry skills are required.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 

· Help maintain the 7 Milestone Recovery buildings across Portland and OOB

· Light carpentry work as needed

· Paint Milestone buildings and rooms as directed

· Use chemicals and other products to clean Milestone buildings as needed

· Sweeping/mopping client rooms, offices, and nurses’ station as needed

· Perform light maintenance tasks (change lightbulbs/doorknobs, make dump runs, etc.)

· Empty trash at Milestone locations as needed

· Help maintain upkeep of building (help shovel in winter, lawn upkeep, etc.)

· Assist other staff members with maintenance requests (help move boxes/furniture, etc.)

· Assist Facilities Director with maintenance tasks throughout the agency

· Maintain a safe and clean work environment

· Perform other duties as assigned

Physical demands and work environment: Freedom of movement on a regular basis. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. May spend extended periods engaging in physical activity such as walking, bending, standing and lifting.

Compensation: Compensation for this position ranges from $23.00 - $25.00 per hour, based on experience. This position qualifies for the following shift differential: $2.50/hr weekends.
