POSITION: MAINTENANCE/GROUNDS, Full Time

DESCRIPTION: Full-time, 8 hours per day Monday-Friday 

LOCATION: TCU District Wide

STARTING DATE: As soon as possible after hiring process

SALARY RANGE: $22.88-$23.75 per hour, depending on certifications

BENEFITS: Insurance, retirement and paid time off

REPORTS TO: Director of Facilities

JOB SUMMARY:

• Responsible for the Facilities Department during the absence of the Facilities Director.
• Fills in for the Engineer Lead Custodians if assigned by the Facilities Director.
• Complete weekend building checks as scheduled.
• Performs building and equipment repair as needed in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform snow removal and grounds work as assigned. (on Call 24/7 during snow season)
• Submits and completes online work requests in a complete and timely manner.
• Cleans and maintains District vehicles, warehouse and premises.
• Ensures that all appropriate measures for building security are followed.
• Promptly fix or report all safety concerns to the Engineer/Lead Custodians and Facilities Director.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or general education development certificate (GED)Valid MN Driver's license required
2. Five years' experience in maintenance of commercial or educational facilities. (Prefered)
3. Possesses, or has the ability to obtain within 3 years, a MN Dept of Labor 1st Class C Boiler License.
4. Technical school certification in trades, preferred; trades experience required.
5. Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force.
6. Computer skills sufficient for comprehensive use of building automation systems, online work request systems, and email communication.
7. Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with the operation, maintenance, and repair of commercial mechanical, electrical, HVAC, BAS, and life safety systems.
8. Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and Operations and Maintenance manuals and instructions.
9. High mechanical aptitude and demonstrated abilities in basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing maintenance and repairs.
