Job Description:
- Responsible for performing repairs and preventative maintenance on facility equipment to include electrical, welding, fabricating, trouble shooting and general repairs.
- This position also includes making rounds and documenting system conditions (i.e. temperatures, pressure, inspections, etc.) and maintaining acceptable tolerance ranges.
- Read, interpret and understand drawings, sketches, prints, etc. that are related to the maintenance and repair of processing equipment.
- This position involves working both inside and outside with temperatures ranging from cold to hot and be exposed to exterior environment occasionally which may include rain, snow, wind, etc. Can be dusty, damp, humid, wet, with a high concentration of allergens.
- This position also includes standing/walking for up to 12 hours per day along with grasping, gripping, twisting, pulling, bending, and stooping occasionally and lifting in excess of 40 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders.
Schedule:
B Shift: Sunday-Wednesday
6pm-4am or 8pm-6am
Compensation:
$24.05 per hour (Depending on skill level)
Requirements:
- Must have 6 months of industrial maintenance experience with one employer in the last 2 years documented on application for consideration
- Must be able to read instruction manuals, labels, records of materials, and able to document information on paper and in computer systems.
- Must be able to understand verbal/written instructions, and communicate effectively on a radio.
- Must pass post offer health assessment and drug screening.
- Cold Storage Experience is preferred.
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Must be willing and able to stand, sit, bend, walk, stretch, climb, push, pull, kneel, squat and reach.
- Must be willing and able to lift, carry, push, and pull 20-70 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to work in the cold (10 degrees below zero to 105 degrees) or damp environments and these areas may have slippery walking surfaces.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime and weekends.
