We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the Evening Shift at a rapidly growing window and door manufacturing company.
Reporting into the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of window and door manufacturing machinery and systems within the facility, alongside some general facilities maintenance whilst on the Evening Shift.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong technical expertise and a commitment to safety and quality standards, and is a pivotal, autonomous role within the business.
Duties
* Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in machinery using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
* Repair or replace faulty components, including welding repairs where necessary.
* Maintain records of maintenance work and repairs.
* Some building and facilities maintenance as required.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Ideal Requirements
* Proven experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Extra points if you're from the Fenestration industry.
* Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical systems.
* Mechanical knowledge including welding skills and experience with mechanical repairs.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
