Job Description
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent and operating from the North Maintenance Facility you will be responsible for providing strong leadership to achieve outstanding results for the Maintenance team. This role will see you coordinate maintenance activities on a large fleet of Komatsu Haul Trucks, Large Wheel Loader, Wheel Dozers and Ancillary mining equipment. The role is accountable for ensuring all work is completed as planned, delivering exceptional safety and quality outcomes.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Coordinator, your role is to:
Coordinate the activities of the Maintenance team operating from the North Facility to minimise production disruptions caused by equipment failures.
Drive continuous business improvement and quality assurance of maintenance performance.
Supervise maintenance supervisors in the North workshop and facilities, ensuring all work is completed as scheduled to quality and safety standards whilst maintaining maintenance systems and ensuring integrity of recorded data.
Offer your team coaching and support to drive high performance by leveraging off your previous leadership experience.
Be accountable for advising a team of maintainers and supervisors to achieve agreed maintenance goals. You will also provide a high level of support to the Maintenance Superintendent to ensure the overall mine plan is achieved within deadlines.
Be accountable for maintaining a safe workplace, providing visible leadership and coordinating the Field Maintenance team to achieve agreed KPI’s.
Effectively establish strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Direct the supervisors of sub-contractors working within the area of responsibility
About You
The successful applicant will have:
A relevant trade or tertiary qualifications.
Strong maintenance experience and proven success in a similar role.
Previous experience working with Haul Trucks, Wheel Dozers and Ancillary Equipment
Demonstrated knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations, Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Act and Regulations and relevant Codes of Practice
The ability to work in a fast paced & dynamic environment
Computer literacy in Excel and Word are also required with proven experience. Experience in Project and SAP is also highly desired.
Demonstrated understanding of safety and risk systems

Based on site at HVO North (off Lemington Road)
