Our Burnsville facility supplies products for both air and spacecraft. We have a rare opportunity for an experienced machinist to join our Burnsville team. You will work in a state-of-the-art climate-controlled shop creating both routine and custom pieces. You will enjoy both autonomy and support and have the opportunity to apply your problem-solving skills. If you are a skilled machinist with a flexible growth mindset and the ability to shift priorities quickly, this could be your ideal position.  

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

  • Production Machining of routine and custom products using manual mills and lathes.  
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals to perform set ups and production processes.  
  • Calibrate machines to perform operations within its capability by positioning, aligning, securing work, utilizing and adapting appropriate tools. 
  • Use analytical skills to formulate machine adjustments and perform the machining process. 
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to optimize production processes and resolve and develop unique solutions.  
  • Utilize of inspection equipment including indicators, micrometers, calipers, and surface plates. 
  • Inspect and certify your work product. 
  • Work independently using all resources available to troubleshoot and resolve problems.  
  • Perform daily, quarterly, annual Preventative Maintenance on equipment. 
  • Effectively work in an environment requiring both repetitive and unique products. 
  • Maintain focus on safety and quality. 
  • Build manufacturing fixtures. 

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE: 

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:   

  • Two-year machinist/tooling degree.  
  • Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks.  
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprint and technical documentation. 
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.

 SCHEDULE:   

  • 2nd Shift Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3:00pm - 1:30am 
  • Training may be on 1st Shift Monday-Friday 6:30am – 3:00pm for approximately three months. 
  • Overtime available on a business need basis.
