Summary:

 

The Sheet Metal Forming I will provide support for the press brake operation.  

 

Responsibilities & Duties:

 

  • Operate multiple brake presses and perform a variety of operations associated with safe and quality production. 
  • Responsible for powering up, running, feeding, and powering down the applicable equipment. 
  • Measures product dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation and performs quality inspection of finished product as required by work order. 
  • May perform first piece inspection to confirm tolerances and dimensions are within specifications. 
  • Perform general clean-up duties of the equipment and surrounding areas. 
  • May perform basic material handling duties with the use of manual pallet jack and/or forklift to move material and stage materials. 

 

Essential knowledge & Skills:

 

 

 

  • Reads and understands standard and metric clue prints.
  • Calculates bend allowances for various material types and thicknesses.
  • Selects the proper punch and die tooling.
  • Sets-up, adjusts, and operates Brake Press to perform a wide variety of operations on a diversified line of work, including prototype jobs and new parts.
  • Inspects parts using precision measuring equipment and documents inspection data.
  • Able to stand, reach, bend, twist, sit, and lift up to 50lbs routinely. 
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools. 
  • Ability to read engineering blue prints. 
  • Excellent communication skills.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of CNC press brake experience. 
  • High School diploma or GED.
