PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for operation and set-up of CNC equipment in accordance to specifications and blueprints.
- Responsible for setting up and running mills without assistance.
- Responsible for maintaining an average parts production.
- Responsible for inspecting parts using appropriate measuring devices and documentation of results.
- Responsible for reporting on a variety of matters such as scrap, safety, maintenance and training.
- Responsible for following all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines including reference to publications of various machines. Performs necessary preventative maintenance on a daily and/or weekly basis.
- Responsible for writing and/or troubleshooting on CNC program and maintaining fixtures.
- May work on special projects/assignments upon request.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- One (1) year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Ability to read and perform work to blueprint specifications, set up CNC equipment.
- Ability read and use measuring devices, such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
