Machine Operator

Job Summary:

The Machine Operator’s primary responsibility is to operate machinery including roll formers and brake presses to produce materials for various products.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the production team to produce materials for various products.
• Operate roll formers, brake press, and other machinery safely.
• Memorize cut sizes and prioritize tasks accordingly
• Work closely with the team to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to use and read measuring devices including tape measures, square, rulers.
• Ability to safely use hand tools.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Ability to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
• Ability to memorize cut sizes.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work additional hours as needed.

Education and Experience:

• Previous experience in machine operation or manufacturing preferred.
• Basic computer skills required; experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in construction, safety, or specialized metal building is a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as reach, climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks.
• Must be able to operate power tools.
• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50lbs.
