Job Summary

Interior Logic Group is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our Granite & Stone Countertop Shop. This role is responsible for cutting and preparing stone slabs for fabrication and installation. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards while working with high-quality materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate bridge saws, CNC saws, and other cutting equipment to cut stone slabs according to specified measurements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and templates to ensure accuracy in cuts and designs.
• Load and unload stone slabs safely using overhead cranes, forklifts, or other material handling equipment.
• Inspect stone slabs for imperfections, cracks, or inconsistencies before cutting.
• Maintain precision cuts and minimize material waste by optimizing slab layouts.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on saw equipment to ensure smooth operation.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and PPE requirements to prevent workplace injuries.
• Work collaboratively with fabricators, installers, and shop supervisors to meet production deadlines.
• Keep the work area clean and organized for a safe and efficient workspace.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience operating stone cutting equipment (bridge saws, CNC saws, waterjet, or similar).
• Familiarity with natural stone, quartz, and other solid surface materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, templates, and CAD drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Forklift or crane operation experience is a plus.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Commitment to safety procedures and shop protocols.
