Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate various machines in a production wood working (veneer) environment including press, sander, shear, and various knives.
  • Carefully follow detailed work instructions.
  • Identify and report quality concerns.
  • Delicately handle fragile veneer panels.
  • Assist other areas as needed.
  • Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements.
  • Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.
  • Attend scheduled EH&S training program.
  • Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans.
  • Recommend improved EH&S practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Abilities Required.
  • Lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Stand for 8+ hours per day.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferably at least 1 years of experience in manufacturing (machine operation or woodworking a plus).
