Machine Learning Researcher

North Point Defense (NPD) is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Researcher to join its team in Rome, NY.

This position will be responsible to research methods focused on enabling ML technologies that provide real-world solutions.
Collaborate with a diverse team of software developers, DSP engineers, FPGA engineers, and Subject Matter Experts.
Research may result in publications in AI/ML conferences and journals

Requirements

Strong experience and skill with PyTorch and TensorFlow

Strong knowledge of languages such as Python

Research topics including reinforcement learning, multimodal models, object detection, LLMs, and transformers are preferable
Master's with 3+ years of experience or PhD in the field of Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or relevant technical field

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Current TS/SCI a strong plus.
