We are looking for a production operator to join our manufacturing team in Carlisle, PA. The Mixer 1/Mixer 2 Utility position supports the requirements of Mixer 1 and Mixer 2 by helping to stage raw materials, loading feed conveyors, preparing compound totes that are used in the mixers, and providing an avenue to keep the mixers running while the Mixer Operator is tending to other mixers or while on scheduled breaks. When both mixers are running, the Mixer 1/Mixer 2 Utility position will function as a second mixer operator. When the production needs do not dictate a required second person to help with mixing, the Mixer 1/Mixer 2 Utility position will function at other utility-type roles within the plant.
Compensation:
$27.21 to start, $31.36 after 6 months
$1.00 shift differential per hour while working 3rd shift
Schedule:
3rd shift: 11:00pm - 7:30am
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Function as a second mixer operator when mixing TPO and/or EPDM bonding in both mixers
- Support the mixer operator by preparing compound totes
- Keeping Mixer 1/Mixer 2 operating while the lead operator is on scheduled breaks and lunch
- Staging raw materials close to the mixers
- Helping to load conveyors
- Maintaining proper housekeeping in the work area
- Providing absentee coverage for employees
- Labeling cans or pails
- Participating in plant-wide MDI activity including Kaizen events, 5S, and Boardwalks
- May be asked to deliver SQDC board presentations during absences
- Performing other “Utility” tasks as needed and when production schedule does not require additional Mixer 1/Mixer 2 support (Managed by Production Supervisor)

Education & Experience:
- Experience: No previous manufacturing experience required
Equipment & Data Used:
- Equipment run on the job: Hand trucks, pallet jacks, HMI process control computer, feed conveyors, drum pumps, air actuated vacuums
- Tools required on the job: Hand tools, various wrenches, push broom, writing utensils, scissors, and knives
- Data used on the job: process specifications, mixing instructions, certification sheets, SDS’s (safety data sheets), and job breakdown information
