Job Summary
Pico Propane and Fuels in Carrizo Springs is seeking a Propane Delivery Driver to assist in the loading, transporting and delivering of propane to our residential and commercial customers using a bobtail truck (3,000-5,000 gallon capacity). This position requires a Class A or B CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complies with all city, state, and federal regulations
- Loads, secures, transports, and delivers propane to residential and commercial locations
- Provides a high level of service to customers
- Performs pre and post-trip inspections on equipment used for the transportation of hazardous materials
- Maintains and completes accurate records by documenting truck inspections, hours of service, product transported, and miles driven in compliance with all DOT regulations
- Maintains the operational efficiency of vehicles by monitoring truck maintenance needs, conducting minor repairs and conducting daily DOT truck inspections to ensure maximum vehicle safety
- Ensures that delivery vehicle receives service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor
- Applies a thorough understanding of the technical concepts, practices and procedures and a general knowledge of industry standards and government regulations related to testing and transporting bulk petroleum products to pipeline injection points
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
- Ability to maintain accurate logs and records
- Ability to carry out a series of instructions with limited supervision
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Class A or B CDL license with hazmat/tanker endorsements required
- LP-3 certification (required)
- Ability to obtain Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC)
- No more than 1 moving violation in the previous 2 years
- 3+ years tractor and trailer experience in propane and/or fuel distribution business preferred
- 1+ years tanker experience within the last 5 years preferred
