Low Observables Supportability Engineer

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

• Assist in the design and development of low observable (LO) unmanned air vehicles
• Develop guidelines and specifications for the incorporation of supportable LO design features
• Generate bottoms-up Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) estimates and verification plans
• Aid in the development of procedures for Tier 1 and Tier 2 testing of LO aircraft and/or components
• Aid in the development of manufacturing plans for LO air vehicles and/or components
• Develop repair procedures for LO aircraft and/or components

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• 10+ years of experience with LO aircraft (F-117, F-22, F-35, B-2, B-21)
• Hands-on experience with performing LO maintenance on LO aircraft
• Experience with using and developing test plans with Tier 1 point inspection tools
• Experience with using and developing test plans Tier 2 LO diagnostic tools
• Experience with executing and documenting periodic LO inspections tasks
• Experience with LO Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) buildups and verification
• Working knowledge of LO design, analysis, and verification
• Must possess and be able to maintain a U.S. TS Security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• Experience with indoor and/or outdoor RCS testing
• Experience with executing and/or developing test plans for  Effects of Defects/Effects of Repair (EoD/EoR) testing
• Experience with CAD tools such as (CATIA, NX)
• Experience in applying LO coatings
• Advanced composite and structural aircraft repair experience on LO platforms

US Salary Range$124,000—$231,000 USD

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
