Role

The purpose of the Logistics Team Member is to support the distribution and receipt of material between locations to support production.


Details

Typical shift is Monday -Friday, some Saturdays based on production; 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM. 

Schedule could vary based on department and company needs.


Responsibilities

  • Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to sales orders, and distributing to sales associates for processing
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
  • Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department
  • Mark materials with identifying information using the appropriate method
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer programs
  • Assist in counting physical inventory
  • Weigh and count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards
  • May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed
  • Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times
  • Prepares orders for the next shift
  • Drive 26” straight truck locally
  • Maintain SQF (Safe Quality Food) compliance

Requirements

 Education & Training Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience

Work Experience Requirements

  • One year of prior warehouse experience

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Exposure to variations in temperature
