Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Logistics Operator – Material Handler to join our team at ONICON Incorporated. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring the efficient and proper movement of materials from the warehouse to the production floor, supporting manufacturing operations. This role includes loading and unloading shipments, organizing inventory, and ensuring the correct materials are delivered to their designated locations throughout the manufacturing process.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Ensure the warehouse and production floor comply with ONICON inventory policies and procedures.
- Assist in the daily disbursement of materials from the warehouse to the production floor.
- Assist in maintaining the integrity of the part warehouse(s), production floor, and inventory store front.
- Maintain stock levels on the production floor.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
- Assist in accurate receiving practices.
- Maintain a FIFO (First In, First Out) policy.
- Assist in accurate cycle counts.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly workplace environment.
- Act as a backup for shipping, receiving, and/or any other team member, when necessary, as directed by supervisors.
- All other related duties as required.
Knowledge and Skills Requirement:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 75 to 100 pounds
- Previous warehouse and forklift experience is preferred.
- Positive team player.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED certificate preferred.
- Strong MS Excel, MS Word Experience is preferred.
