Logistics Coordinator, Shipping and Receiving

We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator at our Gaithersburg, MD location.  This individual will be responsible for coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt movement of shipments.  Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned): ●      Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments (parcel, freight, ocean cargo; domestic and international)●      Estimating Shipping Quotes and Rates●      Responding to customer inquiries and work collaboratively with all departments to resolve issues related to package deliveries or shipments●      Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy●      Developing and coordinating custom shipping arrangements as necessary●      Tracking and fixing shipping errors●      Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards●      Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized●      Prepare documents, such as bills of lading or commercial invoices to route packages●      Perform all work in compliance with Xometry's quality and safety systems, policies, and procedures●      On Occasion pack, seal, and label customer orders to prepare for shipping●      Inspect boxes for visual damages, record damages or short shipments.  Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy Required Skills:●      2+ years relative work experience●      Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume shipping environment●      Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams●      Intermediate computer skills with strong Excel skills●      Experience with FedEx Shipping Manager and UPS WorldShip software preferredIf this job isn’t for you but you have a friend who may be a perfect fit - share this job with them!
