Overview
Responsible for preparing and/or supervising the production of consumer, small business, Home Equity loans, as well as certain condominium loans and real estate loan transactions, as well as certain loan modification documents for all Lending Divisions. Serves as a Team Leader and coordinates work flow and support functions of subordinates to ensure production levels and deadlines are met and the Bank's strategic business objectives are achieved in an efficient and effective manner. Maintains compliance with laws and regulations applicable to loan documentation, loan operations and support functions. In conjunction with Human Resources, develops, evaluates, compensates, promotes and terminates staff with the advice and counsel of Manager.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensures accuracy and timely completion of all loan documentation work.
In conjunction with Human Resources, develops, evaluates, compensates, promotes and terminates staff with the advice and counsel of Manager.
Properly documents all actions. Responsible for coaching, developing and providing performance feedback.
Produces and/or reviews loan documents prepared by Loan Documentation Specialists for all loan types.
Provides client service/support to lending officers/loan assistants.
Coordinates due diligence for completion of loan documentation.
Performs pre-funding and post-closing reviews and verification of loan collateral. Uploads closed loans onto Loan System.
Prepares files for scanning and subsequent review and/or booking by Loan Operations and monitoring by Loan Services and Collateral Control. Places “Hold” on CD’s and Repo’s pledged as collateral.
Conducts post-closing review of loans documented in Loan Documentation Department to ensure documentation requirements are adhered to.
Responsible for maintaining monthly production reports.
Administers and maintains the processing systems and the Metavante interface, including, but not limited to reviewing and implementing updates, and training support staff.
Performs customization of Info-Access for loan configuration and for generation of loan reports.
Oversees centralized process for requesting Flood Determinations from our servicer and timely delivery to other bank personnel of the Flood Determinations and Flood Notices.
Oversees timely compliance by Loan Documentation Specialists of obtaining and clearing postclosing loan exceptions.
Travels to other Bank locations and provides support.
Qualifications
- 5-7 years experience in Banking, with emphasis in loan documentation, Bank federal and State policis and requirements.
- Experienced with automated loan documentation prep systems.
- Knowledge of collateral control and loan servicing requirements.
- Able to manage high volume of activity with accuracy and maintain production goals.
- Function under minimum supervision, provide guidance to staff preparing loan documents.
- Perform assignments that are varied and moderately complex.
- Handles and prioritizes multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to think clearly, communicate effectively and learn quickly.
- Functions efficiently and effectively under deadlines and stress while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or other related field.
