Primary Duties:  Repair flagged looms, perform daily preventive maintenance, (PM) perform Minor Style Changes, and assist weavers as needed.  

 

Tools Required:   Tsudakoma Air Jet Weaving Machines, complete set of hand tools, necessary gauges and specialty tools, Company issued lock out/tag out, Power On caution tag, goggles/safety glasses, dust mask, steel toe shoes, utility knife, cut resistant glove, scissors, reed hook, cloth markers, OSHA approved air nozzle for compressed air, ear plugs, tugger with trailer, beam jack, lease rods(sticks), blocks/clamps, hoist, pattern truck, and brooms. 

 

Materials Used:   Slashed and unslashed warps, filling yarn packages, machine parts, and lubricants. 

 

Supervision Exercised:   None; receives instructions from Supervisor or Weaving Department Manager.  

 

Job Procedures: 

1. Follow all established Plant Safety rules. 

1. Make sure all cam boxes are pumping oil. 

1. Repair all flagged looms.  Always check quality of the fabric before you leave the loom. 

1. Check and sign off on all Warp-Out looms.  Always check quality of the fabric before you leave the loom. 

1. Perform Minor Style Changes per LP043 Style Change Procedure, as needed. 

1. Recover damaged sand rollers, press rollers, and off-loom take-up roller covers.
