Lighting Technical Specialist

As a Lighting Technical Specialist, you will support lighting sales teams with technical support of the Company’s LED lighting fixtures and controls solutions using lighting design and technology standards. You will serve as technical expert and act as a specialist in LED lighting and lighting controls products to customers.

In this role you will:

• Provide technical and analytical expertise in lighting evaluations/assessments
• Identify and select lighting and controls products
• Implement solutions that meet customer requirements and needs
• Utilize assessment tools to capture and analyze data
• Conduct lighting application analysis and simulations to support systems innovation
• Develop presentations, proposals, application examples, and technical notes for high performance standards
• Perform onsite evaluation of existing buildings, lighting structures and existing lighting performance, and general job site conditions

What you bring to the table:

• Minimum 3 years experience in the lighting industry required; 4+ years lighting agency or distribution experience preferred
• 4 year degree required
• Certified Lighting Control Professional (CLCP) or Lighting Certification (LC) preferred
• Knowledge of lighting fundamentals, lighting products, lighting controls technologies, product offerings, systems and applications
• Knowledge of lighting industry renovation business partners and players (agents, end users, distribution)
• Knowledge of supplier products, industry products and service trends
• Knowledge of applicable markets
• Knowledge of SAP, AGI, Visual, AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Organizational and time management skills
• Critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to analyze reports effectively
• Ability to evaluate customer needs
• Ability to work with all levels within the organization
• Ability to develop and implement presentations and proposals
• Frequent travel required

Compensation Details: The expected rate of pay for this position is starting at $63,000 annually, depending on experience.
