JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Madlyn L. Hanes Library at Penn State Harrisburg is seeking Work-Study student employees for the Fall 2024/Spring 2025 semesters.

Duties include:

• assisting users at the circulation desk
• processing library materials for checkout and return
• shelving books and performing collection maintenance tasks
• working on various special projects as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Must have a 2024/25 Federal Work-Study grant to apply.
• A cover letter listing days and times you are available to work must accompany the completed online application.
• Punctual and regular attendance is required. Work is performed onsite.
• Respectful and friendly customer service skills are required. Excellent communication and active listening skills as well as attention to detail are preferred.

This position is part-time, $12.00 per hour, bi-weekly paying schedule, through a work-study award. Applications will be received on an ongoing basis and will be reviewed as the need arises. Vacancies will be open until filled.
