Group Summary

Magna is an innovative leader in the development and manufacturing of seating structures, foam and trim, mechanisms, and complete seats for global automotive, heavy truck and bus industries. The Customer Liaison will be the link between MSSC and the customer’s production facility; preventing or resolving quality issues before, or as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

•    Serves as a liaison to manufacturing for quality and product related questions.  Research customer requirements in order to make well-informed decisions.
•    Completes the weekly quality report with accurate information on appropriate tabs.  
•    Supports continuous improvement efforts.  Engages in analysis activities and continuous improvement projects as requested.
•    Demonstrates integrity and strong time management.
•    Resolve quality, production, and logistic issues between MSSC and the customer.
•    Supports Quality Engineering team by assisting with containment of product at customer and provide information for Quality Alerts.
•    Ensure a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and by following all safety policies and procedures.
•    Reports issues and works with the customer to address and/or recommend resolution of issues.
•    Prepares appropriate paperwork and reports, as required, and presents and discusses with customer.
•    Effectively maintains Containment Processes (work instructions, charting, reporting, etc.).
•    Will also be required to conduct quality functions at MSSC when needed.
•    Communicate effectively with both customer and MSSC, materials and quality departments
•    Assist MSSC customer in problem resolution
•    Ability to identify problems
•    Report issues to both customer and MSSC.
•    Needs to be self-motivated and have the ability to maintain duties in fast paced environment
•    Summarizes and updates quality status information in order to clearly share with MSSC Quality Team.
•    All other duties as assigned
Health & Safety
•    Ensure all safety and non-safety plant rules and regulations are followed.
•    Ensure adherence to established housekeeping standards.
•    Respond immediately to items brought to his/her attention with respect to hazards, non-compliance issues.
•    Adheres to Magna’s health and safety, environmental, operating procedures, policies and forms.
Communication
•    Attends weekly meetings to discuss safety, production, and quality related performance and goals.
•    Maintain proper records and backup documentation.
•    Communicate to all levels of the organization.
•    Attend all monthly employee meetings.
•    Attend all scheduled training sessions, and complete related course materials.
•    Provide feedback to employees (both positive and negative) on an ongoing basis.
 

Key Qualifications/Requirements

•    High School Diploma or equivalent.
•    Bachelor Degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
•    3 – 5 years of experience in the automotive industry with extensive customer interaction. 
•    Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts. 
•    Demonstrated ability to represent the Company in a professional manner when performing all job duties. 
•    Must have excellent interpersonal skills to exercise influence at various levels and functions.
•    Must be able to operate standard measurement tools (i.e. micrometers, filler gauges) and basic electrical equipment (test box).
•    Basic computer background with ability to capture info
