Academic level B base salary will be in the range $110,365.29 - $130,765.78 + 17% Superannuation
Academic level C base salary will be in the range $134,845.87 - $155,246.38 + 17% Superannuation

About This Opportunity
The primary purpose of these positions is to engage, as a lecturer or senior lecturer, in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, student supervision, and further development of the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs, as well as performing scholarship, administrative and other activities associated with the School. As a teaching-focused member of staff, the holder of the position will contribute to teaching and learning leadership in the school and will undertake work in the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) and/or research in an area aligned with the school’s disciplines.
At least one of the positions is reserved for a candidate capable of coordinating and teaching large, early-year programming courses. The remaining positions are open to candidates aligned with any of the school’s disciplines.
Key responsibilities will include:
Teaching: Develop and deliver courses, engage in curriculum design, coordinate courses, assess students, provide academic counselling, and adhere to university teaching rules.
Scholarship of Teaching and Learning/Research: Maintain an active record of producing quality research or scholarship of teaching outputs consistent with discipline norms, collaborate on teaching and research project and utilise best practice teaching and assessment methodologies.
Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students, recruit and manage employees, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits.
Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values.

About You
For Appointment at Level B
Essential
PhD in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering or electrical engineering or a related area; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Demonstrated expert knowledge in a discipline area relevant to the school .
