Job Description

SUMMARY

This position is an important part of the education process within Hobart Service. This position is responsible for maintaining and imputing the data needed for the Learning management system to ensure the organization has complete and accurate training data for both reporting and recordation purposes. The administrator manages the training processes for both new hires and existing employees. Provides support for the training team and management to ensure all employees have access to available training and provides reporting to management to improve employee development.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical leadership in the management and support of the organization's learning management system (LMS)
  • Advise employees on the available training and development opportunities and map out training plans for individual employees
  • Load and monitor internal and external training programs for effectiveness.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders regarding employee training needs
  • Liaise with instructional designers to ensure training programs are maintained in the LMS
  • Build training aids such as student and instructor materials
  • Organize, and help source training programs to meet specific training needs
  • Use data sources to create schedule training courses, and track and report on training outcomes
  • Create feedback programs to evaluate training programs and create and monitor key metrics
  • Maintain contact with Customers before and after training programs are delivered to maintain relations.
  • Manage logistics for training activities including venues and equipment
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external training suppliers and customers
  • Coordinate off-site training activities for both internal and external training programs
  • Process necessary invoices/POs Training and Publications groups.
  • Assist in the tracking of the training budget
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
  • Seek and gather information from management, employees and other departments regarding the effectiveness of completed training courses and constantly seek to improve training processes
  • Develop marketing materials promoting the training programs
  • Manage LMS related trouble tickets from user to ensure prompts resolutions are found

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree or 6 year relevant experience in a similar role.

 

Desired Education/Experience

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in database administration, communication, business, or similar field is preferred.
  • Previous experience as an LMS administrator, training facilitator is preferred is preferred, but not required.

 

Certificates and Licenses

  • Certification as a Professional in Learning and Performance is preferred.
