Compensation: $23.00 - $25.00 / hour

Description

  We are seeking a Warehouse Lead person at our Odessa, TX Distribution Center. 

Key Responsibilities

• Inform workers of management conditions of work, rules and regulations guiding the establishment to ensure that they adhere to company policies and take disciplinary measures against workers who are found wanting.
• Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
• Ability to look at all task that need to be accomplished, not just order picking, prioritize the tasks and allocate staff accordingly.
• Ability to comprehend and reply to emails; follow specified instructions on emails and determine workload vs expediting requests.
• Code orders, know the priority codes to determine workload for the day and assign orders in order of priority, Including UPS orders and an understanding of Will Call.
• Understand proper distribution of orders to individuals based on lines and weight of orders.
• Communication with shipping office to assure special instructions are followed and customer stock trucks are scheduled.
• Communication with management about daily goals for production and any unexpected staffing allocations or shortages.
• Coordinated others at end of day hand over for any orders still pending for the day.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Must be able to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of the AS400 system as well as the WMS system is preferred
• Must possess good math skills.
