Leadership Assessment Consultant

IREX is seeking a leadership development expert to lead the development of a leadership assessment tool that will assess an individual’s skills, knowledge, and competencies relevant to being an effective leader and provide actionable insights as to which skills, knowledge, and competencies should be further gained to help individuals grow their leadership capabilities.

Qualified applicants will have demonstrable expertise in leadership theory, various leadership models, and competencies, and experience in developing leadership curriculum or staff development programs that focus on leadership and professional growth for managers and executives. Experience developing knowledge products or tools, especially for an international audience and/or under USAID funded programs is preferred.
Key deliverables are conceived to be:

• Assessment Framework: a clear framework that outlines the key domains of leadership to be assessed and defines specific leadership competencies within each domain.
• Assessment Tool Content: a set of assessment components such as questions or scenarios that align with the identified competencies.
• Scoring Mechanism/Rubric: a scoring system that quantifies an individual’s performance on each competency with guidelines for interpreting scores and identifying areas for improvement.
• Reporting and Feedback templates: templates for personalized reports for      participants based on their assessment results that include actionable               recommendations for skill development and growth.
• Tool Design Recommendations: a set of recommendations for how the tool interface is designed for both online and offline use
• Product Testing Plan: a plan for piloting the product and making revisions based on feedback collected
• Final Report: report summarizing the assessment development process, including all of the tools and content materials, and including recommendations on roll out and continued refinement

Timeline:

• Phase 1 (Framework and Content Development): 5 weeks starting by April 22nd
• Phase 2 (Pilot Testing and Refinement): 4 weeks
• Consultancy to be completed by June 30th, 2024
