Your Team & Role 

As a Lead, Tech Lead (Anaplan) in Finance Management Transformation, you will partner with product owners, tech leads, designers, engineers and delivery professionals to improve Financial Forecasting.  You will code, test and debug new and existing applications as you implement capabilities to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services and experiences to delight our customers! In addition to advanced technical expertise and experience, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.  

 

Role based out of Newark, NJ with a hybrid work arrangement (minimum 3 days/week in office). Will consider virtual opportunities for those outside of our commutable distance.

 

Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day  

• Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders to capture end‑to‑end processes, requirements, risks, and dependencies; translate outcomes into user stories and acceptance criteria
• Lead solution architecture and design, setting technical direction and best practices to deliver scalable, future‑ready Anaplan models aligned with Prudential standards and platform vendor roadmap
• Enable scale by standardizing and continuously improving model design, delivery, maintenance, and documentation across the platform
• Configure and build models that adhere to industry best practices, modern design patterns, and sound architectural principles, removing technical impediments as they arise
• Define integration tests and functional automation, researching problems discovered by quality assurance or product support, developing solutions to address the problems 
• Act as a platform leader by promoting best practices, mentoring others, and staying current with Anaplan features, releases, and roadmap changes

 

The Skills & Expertise You Bring  

• Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields 
• Experience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD) 
• Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges 
• Ability to translate complex Excel models into scalable, low-sparsity multidimensional Anaplan models
• Ability to design large-scale connected planning solutions, develop model documentation, conduct data integration testing, and lead UAT testing and deployment using ALM
• Ability to support the full Anaplan development lifecycle including model design, build, testing, delivery, iteration, and maintenance
• Ability to coach others with minimal guidance and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization 
• Advanced experience and/or expertise with several of the following: 
  • Preferred: Certified Master Anaplanner
  • Unit, interface and end user testing concepts and tooling (functional & non-functional) 
  • Anaplan: Configuration and administration of core capabilities, data model, integrations, security, access control
  • Project/Product Management: Planning, Progress Monitoring and Status Reporting, including visualization of works; Scaling Agile – Organizing, synchronizing multiple teams’ setup Estimations, ROI, project life cycle
  • Effective Communication: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
