The Airborne Systems Business Area, part of the Defense Sector at Leidos, currently has an opening for a cleared Lead Systems Engineer to work in our Beavercreek, OH Office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Air Force Research Lab, Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, and other DoD missions. Your role will be to support our diverse portfolio of programs through Model Based Systems Engineering.
Primary Responsibilities.
Lead a small team of Model Based Systems Engineers developing models for Air Force architectures.
Capture, decompose, and trace system level requirements.
Analyze, define, and refine architectures and interfaces.
Develop system structure and behavior.
Collaborate with government stakeholders and internal engineering teams.
Champion MBSE within our organization.
Serve as primary POC to our customers for MBSE
Stay up to date on state of the art MBSE practices and technologies.
Basic Qualifications.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 2-4 years of experience.
3+ years experience developing models with SysML
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally from informal one-on-one discussions or in a small group environment.
Work well within a team and independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to work within a dynamic work environment, ability to handle multiple tasks at once (multi-task)
Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies.
Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
Must be a US Citizen.
Must be able to acquire a top-secret security clearance.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
