The Lead Software Engineer is a UX Developer focused on the development of DTCC’s next generation incident management and observability tools. The software developed by this team will be used by operational and business users within DTCC to accelerate the resolution of incidents and help support the company’s most critical systems. While the role is focused on Web UI and Mobile App development for iOS, you will have the opportunity to contribute to other components like APIs and Database development.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

• Be a member of a development team responsible for developing incident management and observability software.
• Work on different application components including UI/UX development and iOS mobile app development.
• Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing
• Research and evaluate technical solutions consistent with DTCC technology standards
• Contribute to our Engineering Knowledge Base, documenting all design/architecture.
• Identify potential risks as well as provide guidance in remediation
• Work with peers to mature ways of working, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
• Align risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

Talents Needed For Success:

• Minimum of 6 years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred 

Additional Qualifications

• Ability to develop mobile applications for iOS and Android using native technologies or frameworks like React Native
• Strong understanding of and experience in integration of mobile app lifecycle management using Microsoft Intune
• Proficiency in Java and related frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and Struts for back-end development.
• Proficiency in AngularJS for front-end development.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL especially when hosted on AWS (RDS)
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda, for deploying and scaling web applications.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and continuous integration and deployment tools like Jenkins.
• Ability to lead software projects as a technical lead, including managing project timelines, leading a development team, and communicating with stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues in both front-end and back-end code.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams
