About the role

Why Charlie Health?

Millions of people across the country are navigating mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and eating disorders, but too often, they’re met with barriers to care. From limited local options and long wait times to treatment that lacks personalization, behavioral healthcare can leave people feeling unseen and unsupported.

Charlie Health exists to change that. Our mission is to connect the world to life-saving behavioral health treatment. We deliver personalized, virtual care rooted in connection—between clients and clinicians, care teams, loved ones, and the communities that support them. By focusing on people with complex needs, we’re expanding access to meaningful care and driving better outcomes from the comfort of home.

As a rapidly growing organization, we're reaching more communities every day and building a team that’s redefining what behavioral health treatment can look like. If you're ready to use your skills to drive lasting change and help more people access the care they deserve, we’d love to meet you.

About the Role

We are seeking a Salesforce Engineer with experience at high-growth companies to join our team. This individual will be responsible for supporting the design of our Salesforce architecture and strategy, building new features, and supporting our existing and rapidly growing user base.

The Salesforce Developer assists all teams across the organization with their Salesforce needs (Admissions, Clinical Outreach, Patient Finance, Compliance, etc.). Specifically, they ensure system integrity and efficiency, build the CRM infrastructure for Charlie Health, develop reporting to drive insights across the business, and create processes and onboarding documentation for users.

Our team is composed of passionate, forward-thinking professionals eager to take on the challenge of the mental health crisis and play a formative role in providing life-saving solutions. We are looking for a candidate who is inspired by our mission and excited by the opportunity to build a business that will impact millions of lives in a profound way.

Responsibilities

  • At least 5 years of professional experience with Salesforce development
  • Serve as the primary owner of Salesforce development across Charlie Health, ensuring system stability, scalability, and cross-functional alignment
  • Lead end-to-end design and delivery of Salesforce solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders—especially for high-priority initiatives like Sales tooling, workflow revamps, and employee onboarding
  • Architect and implement automation (flows, triggers, validation rules) that streamline operations and improve user efficiency
  • Oversee configuration and integration of third-party platforms (e.g., DocuSign, Salesloft) and internal proprietary systems
  • Create and maintain robust technical documentation, in line with engineering team standards
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior/intermediate admins; set standards for maintainable, scalable declarative and programmatic solutions
  • Collaborate with Engineering and leadership to drive project prioritization and ensure Salesforce evolves alongside business needs
  • Champion Salesforce best practices, governance frameworks, and architectural decisions that balance speed and sustainability
  • Orchestrate and organize work on the Salesforce admin pod on a daily basis

Qualifications

  • Salesforce Administrator Certification (required); Advanced Administrator and Platform Developer I/II (strongly preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of declarative automation (e.g., Flow Builder) and foundational experience with Apex, JavaScript, and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture and platform limits, with the judgment to balance declarative vs. programmatic solutions
  • Experience managing third-party Salesforce integrations  and overseeing vendor relationships (Ex: Salesloft, Verifiable, Salesforce Maps, etc)
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions
  • Highly analytical, organized, and solutions-oriented with meticulous attention to detail
  • Passion for mental health and a desire to work in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment
