Lead Portfolio Manager

We are currently hiring a Lead Portfolio Manager to help grow our company and ensure our mission is achieved!    

This role is a work from home position and can be performed remotely anywhere in the continental US or in our corporate location in Utah.

YOU ARE: Responsible for serving as a key resource and partner for our Technology teams. This role will have a focus on coaching Delivery Managers, Product & Engineering leaders, and Progressive software development teams on change management processes and continuous improvement efforts to achieve organizational objectives. This individual contributor role will be pivotal in driving change that increases the effectiveness of the delivery process for our internal and external customers and retail partners. 

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

• Coach, mentor, and partner with Program Managers to drive continuous improvements to advance process maturity including process definition, template design, project and change management best practices into repeatable operational processes
• Contribute to the design and implementation of enterprise Agile methodology and improvements to SDLC processes across the organization that improve project intake processes and collaboration with other teams
• Identify organizational impediments and participates in efforts to mitigate or eliminate same in partnership with others
• Improve delivery consistency and alignment with strategic objectives from initiation to implementation
• Facilitate the identification of areas of risk and develop appropriate mitigation strategies and escalation paths as appropriate
• Ensure that progress updates and milestones are documented/presented transparently and in a timely manner to appropriate organization leaders
• Remove team level impediments and clear the path for effective delivery of value to customers (escalate when appropriate)
• Identify trends to empower teams to work toward measurable process improvements and best practices resulting in more effective delivery processes 
• Facilitate discussions to break down barriers, drive resolution of conflicts, and identify alternate approaches to solve problems

YOU’LL BRING:

• 6+ years' experience of combined portfolio management and development leadership 
• 6+ years' experience using Agile methodologies
• Experience with Project Management tools and high proficiency in Jira
• Proven ability to build and lead a portfolio management organization in an agile/product focused group (leading, developing, and attracting Delivery Managers)
• Familiarity with portfolio financial concepts including project cost, resource costing, ROI modeling, and overall business value segmentation
• Proven experience with enterprise-size projects in multiple technologies and functions
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related Information Technology field (or equivalent experience)
