Impact you'll make:
The Operations Leader will manage a broad range of Engineering operational processes and reports, with a focus on automating liquidation and harmonization within the Gas Power Engineering vouchering process. This role also includes issuing and maintain Purchase Orders (PO) for the Swiss location. In addition, the position will lead strategic initiatives to improve both operational and financial aspects of the function. The Operations Leader/Specialist will work closely with the Finance team to enhance visibility into the ledger within Pmx as well as other Operations and HR teams to translate these outputs into Gas Power financial goals.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support key decision-making that aligns with business needs

  • Continuously challenge the status quo by evaluating the current operating model and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement automation across Enterprise Resource Planning (ERPs) like SAP POWERMAX (Pmx) Alpha, and CSAP

  • Lead transformation initiatives such as migrating purchases from legacy systems to Ariba

  • Collaborate with the IT to resolve issues and minimize manual intervention

  • Build, own and execute multi-year continuous improvement roadmap for processes and tools

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Pmx-related issues within the engineering team

  • Assists the Engineering Operations team in analyzing data to build business models

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline from an accredited university or college OR equivalent knowledge and experience

  • Strong experience within Power generation or relevant industry

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of SAP

  • Detailed oriented with a strong commitment to Quality and Continuous Improvement

  • Strong eagerness to learn and a deep understanding of Engineering functional cost categories, processes, and resource utilization

  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze issues and identify root causes

  • Ability to analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends and patterns

  • Experience working effectively in cross-functional teams

  • Proven ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and logistics

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, The base pay range for this position is $98,400.00 - 164,000.00 USD per year.

The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
