Lead Mental Health Therapist -PACE

The Lead Mental Health Therapist serves in a leadership position in the program providing support to the program director and/or team supervisor.  Provides individual, group, and/or family therapy to older adult clients. Provides clinical assessment and psychotherapy to older adult clients. Provides consultation to team members.

About our Program

Pacific Clinics is seeking a licensed therapist to fill a hybrid Lead Mental Health Therapist position. This position involves providing short-term individual and/or group psychotherapy to the older adult population. There are minimal documentation requirements, with the ability to work independently while still having the support of a team environment.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Lead Mental Health Therapist serves in a leadership position in the program providing support to the program director and/or team supervisor.  Provides individual, group and/or family therapy to older adult clients. Provides clinical assessment and psychotherapy to older adult clients. Provides consultation to team members.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides individual and group psychotherapy to older adult clients through telehealth and/or in-person.
• Participate in agency-wide initiative committees and workgroup meetings. 
• Conducts presentations and trainings through the Pacific Clinics Training Institute on topics relevant to the older adult population as needed.
• Serves in specially designated roles such as Evidence-based Practice Lead or Cultural Broker.
• Conducts family-centered, strengths-based, culturally competent individualized intakes/assessments gathering information from family, consumer, significant other, and involved agencies through Telehealth or at PACE centers.
• Includes information on substance use disorder, as appropriate, in treatment plans.
• Completes all required documentation within 48 hours of service delivery and meets the standards of Pacific Clinics and its funding sources.
• Provides crisis intervention as needed.
• Provides services in the community or in the field consistent with program and funding source contractual requirements.
• Works with the treatment team to provide appropriate coordinated care services to clients and their families.
• Displays sensitivity to the cultural and linguistic needs of the clients and families served.
• Interacts well with other internal programs, clinical/support staff, and PACE team as applicable.
• Completes billing expectations per Agency requirements and provides services consistent with program needs.
• Attends and participates in staff meetings to provide input towards program development and staff training.
• Reports to work on time and maintains reliable and regular attendance.
• Models Pacific Clinics’ approach, mission and core values in all communication and correspondence.
• Communicates effectively in a culturally competent and diverse consumer population and promotes favorable interaction with managers, co-workers and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
