As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, Projects, you will support the Personal Care businesses by leading projects directly or serving as the Mechanical Engineer discipline lead as projects transition from development to commercialization. You have expertise across multiple manufacturing technologies or plant experience and have the ability to effectively provide work direction to a broad range of team members. In this position you will report to the Capital Engineering Manager responsible for capital execution and receive broad assignment objectives from them. 

In this role, you will:

  • Lead/support capital projects that vary in scope and cost from less than $1MM to over $10MM that include Expansion and Rollouts for Personal Care product, technology and process improvements. 

  • Follow Project Management Practices and manage all projects to meet or exceed project success criteria and timing

  • Provide subject matter expertise in one or more areas of the Project Management Practices and processes used for capital project execution.

  • Develop and apply LEAN capability to support continuous improvement strategies and activities as well as seek, recognize, define and solve problems to achieve unit objectives. 

  • Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner, developing equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines and for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance and other personnel.

In one of our technical roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.

  • 3 years or more of experience in various technical or operational assignments

  • Strong experience in engineering design, studies, reports, and capital project management with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve project results within required timeframes.
