WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are searching for a Lead Labor Planning Manager who will drive operational excellence by providing critical expertise in Labor Planning & Budgeting! You will develop processes, programs, standards and requirements necessary for our stores across the globe to improve their business and serve the consumer. You’ll work collaboratively with key partners to resolve standard methodologies and evolve retail operations at the pace of change.
Nike retail drives the most innovative store concepts and services in the world. You will be a part of crafting the future of sport, driving streamlined retail store and digital experiences for the consumer while helping to create an elite environment for retail field teams across the globe. You’ll partner with the technology, finance, operations and analytics teams to guide our strategic roadmap and ensure the success of programs, tools, services and spaces.
This role requires a strong combination of financial, analytical, leadership and communication skills. The person we seek will be a self-starter with the tenacity to move ideas into action, and ability to work closely with cross functional teams to ensure transparency and connectivity. The right candidate will deliver comprehensive storytelling incorporating strong analytical thinking and a passion for retail. Success will be measured on the ability to assess, impact and inspire change and drive adoption.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will work developing specific strategies around Global Labor Planning with responsibilities which include to:
- Build cross-functional partnerships to drive labor planning and reporting while identifying labor and operational opportunities
- Build the global Labor Planning & Optimization strategy and roadmap
- Own the development of a Global Labor Budgeting tool that will help us align workload in stores to Nike’s financial targets
- Develop the global requirements and the future functionality needs for workload planning tools
- Craft and develop the global governance structure and process for workload planning for new programs, products, services and experiences
- Build a Global Labor Community for GEO labor teams to share standard methodologies and create global workforce management/labor process alignment
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will partner closely with global/geo finance and labor teams to provide global reporting and analytical support to supervise payroll performance and call out opportunities for improvement. You’ll establish global budgeting and forecasting processes with the Global Workforce Managerment & Labor Strategy Director while regularly communicating to key partners and leadership roles in Nike Direct Stores. You’ll design the framework for World Headquarters and field leader training and reporting.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience of relevant education, experience and training
- 5 years operations or retail finance experience
- Experience working with workforce management (WFM) systems and/or labor budgeting tools
- Outstanding writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Proven track record to coordinate the activities of cross-functional teams and provide project management support
- Ability to work with high degree of independence while leading upward communication to management
- Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Experience building technical, process and/or program materials
Highly Preferred:
- Retail management experience
- Understanding of retail store systems and equipment recommended
- Previous experience working on a distributed team/across multiple geographies valued
- Ability to travel internationally 10% and work occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends
