THE ROLE
As Lead, Investor Relations reporting to the Head, Investor Relations and Communications, you will serve as a proactive, collaborative strategic partner to the business and lead initiatives to advance our investor engagement program. A successful candidate will be a strong writer with experience in biotech/pharma investor interactions and contribute to helping set and achieve the company’s global IR goals during a period of dynamic growth for the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support development and execution of investor relations plans and initiatives aligned with corporate goals.
- Develop quarterly and annual results communications, including financial results press releases, annual reports, conference call scripts, key messages, and Q&A, and other documents to communicate Amylyx’ corporate story to investor and analyst audiences.
- Partner with colleagues to prepare documents for filings and disclosures to be compliant with SEC regulations (i.e., 8-Ks, 10-Ks, 10-Qs, proxies); in certain circumstances, lead creation of documents for filings.
- Write and create investor-facing materials, including content for website, presentations for investor meetings, key message and Q&A documents, and press releases; and update as appropriate.
- Partner with leadership and other colleagues to ensure consistency of messaging.
- Engage with the investment community, including healthcare investors, equity research analysts, and investment bankers, and represent Amylyx at events.
- Participate in one-on-one meetings, bus tours, conferences, and non-deal roadshows, and lead follow-up as appropriate.
- Respond to requests for information from external stakeholders, including shareholders, in a timely manner.
- Partner with executive assistant who manages active IR calendar/schedules and prepares background information on investors in advance of meetings; assist with scheduling and preparations when needed.
- Review and analyze analyst research and models, communication trends and best practices, consensus estimates, peer estimates, industry trends, competitive landscape, sell-side research, and market-related trends impacting valuation and perception; summarize market sentiment on Amylyx and peers.
- Support the overall Investor Relations function, including assisting with day-to-day needs and long-term special projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of relevant work experience, with at least 5+ years of previous experience in the biotech/pharma industry.
- Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Equity Research, Buy-Side, or Consulting experience preferred.
- Managing the full life cycle of multiple projects, from strategy and development to deployment and evaluation.
- A clear and thorough understanding of the financial modeling techniques used by analysts to project a company's operating and financial performance and the resulting value for its stock.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively tailor communication to a broad collection of external and internal audiences.
- Ability to translate complex scientific, clinical, and financial data into easy to communicate messaging.
- A strong understanding of investors' needs and priorities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-pressure, deadline driven environment.
