Lead Groundskeeper

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor, provides groundskeeping , landscaping, and snow/ice removal services. Provides training and limited supervision to other groundskeeping staff.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

 

Preferred: • High School diploma or equivalency.

 

LICENSE:

Minimum:

• Valid NYS driver's license clear of violations consistent with FLH Motor Vehicle Policy

 

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:

Minimum:

• 3A and 7A NYS Pesticide certification.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

• Prior experience in groundwork/landscaping and heavy equipment operation.

 

Preferred:

• Previous lead groundskeeper experience.

 

SKILLS:

Minimum:

• Demonstrated leadership abilities.

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the public in a professional and courteous manner.

• Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.
