As the Lead Engineer, Software Engineering, you will provide technical leadership, including the design, development and delivery of business technology-enabled applications, products and services. What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Provide technical leadership, including the design, development and delivery of business technology-enabled applications, products and services
• Responsible for meeting project schedules and ensuring the delivered solution meets the technical specifications and design requirements
• Drive proficiency within teams, provide resolution to technical issues, assure best practices are followed, and assist management in meeting strategic initiatives while contributing to smooth business operations
• Eligible for telecommuting from home within reasonable commuting distance from Charlotte, NC

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer/software engineering, or closely related
• 3 years of post-bachelor’s progressive experience in all of the following:
  • Software development and coding using .NET Microsoft technologies
  • Creating and consuming distributed data services using REST APIs or Messaging Buses
  • Using SQL and relational databases with either MSSQL or Oracle or MySQL
  • Using Rapid programming or agile development or software patterning or refactoring techniques
• 2 years of post-bachelor’s progressive experience in all of the following:
  • GCP, AWS or Azure – Development with service SDKs and deployment of apps via CI/CD tools
  • Using Frontend Technologies with either AngularJS or Angular
