Your adventure begins now—unleash your potential with ManTech!MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Lead Engineer to join our team in Herndon, VA. In this role, you will oversee our Video Engineering and Network Engineering teams, including critical Video Refresh efforts. This role requires a strong technical leader who can guide and mentor a diverse team while providing hands-on support for complex projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead and mentor diverse engineering teams, providing technical guidance, hands-on project support and managing MANTECH Lead responsibilities of interviews, HR best practices, timecards, workforce morale and other duties as assigned.
- Design, develop, and implement technical solutions in line with project requirements and organizational goals.
- Assist in planning, designing, installing, maintaining, monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting, modifying, and supporting video systems to provide maximum performance and availability.
- Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and other teams to define technical requirements and project scopes.
- Perform complex engineering tasks including research, development, installation, and design, and participate in activities such as Capacity Management, Engineering Services, Surveys, and Audio/Visual equipment testing and configuration.
- Local travel between customer buildings throughout Northern VA is required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ or more years of experience, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 13+ or more years.
- Ability to build and maintain constructive relationships among customers, stakeholders, technical teams, and contractors across the customer base.
- Proficiency with video equipment installation, software, formats, codecs, streaming technologies, VoIP and video conferencing technologies.
- Advanced skills in diagnosing and resolving network and video-related problems.
- Strong technical skills in network design, implementation, troubleshooting, and security.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office product suite.
- Knowledge of component and transmission medium compatibility and interconnection.
- Ability to adapt to quickly changing tasks and requirements and the ability to quickly learn new skills while on the job.
