Lead Electronics Engineer

Nicholas Howard Recruitment are delighted to to be recruiting for a Lead Electronics Engineer.

6 month initial contract
Inside IR35

Reporting to the Design Team Lead the role will:

* Take responsibility for the design, development and support of mixed electrical / electronic solutions from concept to completion following a detailed phase-gate development process.

* Facilitate the development of functional and physical design requirements to ensure complete integrated design architecture.

* Produce technical documentation to support all activities, from trade studies, requirements documentation, compliance evidence and test documentation.

* Design and development of electrical/electronic sub-assemblies for low and high power DC systems.

* Analyze, test and evaluation of electrical circuits, components and protection of harnesses.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience

* Formal Electrical qualification such as HNC/HND/BEng.

* Experience of Electrical Hardware Design & Electrical Product Development for Harsh Environments.

* Electrical analysis of circuit protection, component derating and electrical stress.

* EMC and Environmental Awareness at system and circuit level.

* Awareness of Def-Stan/Mil Standards, Safety and Quality processes.

* Ability to support and manage aspects of Assembly, Integration and Test.

* Experience of working with lab test equipment, e.g. debug of Electrical circuits using DMM, Oscilloscope, Power supplies, Logic and Protocol Analysers .

* Experience of Windchill or other Product Lifecycle Management tool.

* Experience of Altium, Zuken E.3, SIMetrix and LTSpice would advantageous
