Position Summary
Coordinate and oversee the gathering and consolidation of retail revenue, prepare wholesale cost and all other non-standard transaction data for month-end close. Serve as Electricity Billing contact for key retail electricity contracts and Finance group inquiries. Guide and implement problem resolutions. Prepare adhoc queries for internal groups. Coordinate and assist IT with identifying the necessary changes required to establish business in new retail opportunities. Train Billing Analysts on the day to day processes. Lead on new cross functional projects intended to drive efficiencies and results.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Coordinate and oversee the gathering and consolidation of retail revenue, wholesale cost, and all other non-standard transaction data to prepare month-end.
Serve as Electricity Billing liasion to Finance group. Provide information, data and inquiry resolution to internal and external auditors as needed.
Serve as primary Electricity Billing contact for key retail electricity contracts. Take the lead on developing reporting processes in support of new retail opportunities/products.
Guide and implement problem resolutions process. Determine scope and nature of research required (including the number of accounts impacted); survey and analyze multiple cycles of billing and usage data and contact utility as necessary to define the problem.
Prepare adhoc queries as required and requested for various operations, marketing, and other business purposes.
Coordinate and assist Digital with evaluation of new software and processes/queries required for new retail opportunities.
Coordinate with Regulatory and Legal to participate in utility and Public Service Commission initiatives that impact company billing processes.
Train co-workers on the day to day Electricity Billing processes.
Take the lead on new cross functional projects intended to drive efficiency and results.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
Minimum eight years analytical experience in a business environment
BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. MBA a plus.
Proficient in Excel
Strong database skills (Access or Oracle preferred)
Ability to work accurately with and analyze large sets of numerical data
Ability to handle daily deadlines and multiple projects
Ability to be adaptable and deal with uncertainty in a business environment
Ability to work independently and exercise discretion when making business decisions regarding daily work
We offer a competitive salary range of $116,000 to $159,500 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
