The Role at a Glance

This position will lead the design and reimagination of dashboard capabilities on the Actuarial Data Solutions team.   S/he will partner with stakeholders to develop new data & analytics solutions using cutting-edge tools to improve business insights.

What you'll be doing

Technology partner

  • Partner with stakeholders to understand data & analytics needs
  • Translate business requests into technical requirements
  • Upskill team members with emerging technology tools

Solutions architect

  • Design solutions to enhance reporting and analytic capabilities
  • Centralize and standardize data from various sources
  • Demonstrate new capabilities of the solution with proof-of-concept builds

Dashboard Design

  • Reimagine current state analytics with new insightful storyboards
  • Enable team members to fully leverage data solutions and dashboard capabilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to iterate through various designs
  • Increase transparency, efficiency, and governance of deliverables

Documentation

  • Maintain robust process and production documentation
  • Document changes and follow change management procedures

 
 

What we’re looking for

Must-haves:

  • Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science or Data Analytics or other quantitative major 
  • 5-7+ years of experience working with Finance and Insurance data. 
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, QuickSight

Nice-to-haves:

  • FSA designation or ASA designation with additional years of actuarial experience.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
  • Curiosity and demonstrated capability to quickly learn new concepts
  • Self-starter, Innovative, Problem Solver

Experience with: 

  • Modern Data & Analytics Technology such as Dataiku, AWS, Spark, Alteryx
  • Coding with SQL, Hive, Python/R, SAS, VBA, etc.

The pay range for this position is $90,300 - $164,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role.
