Job Description:

What You’ll Do
Support development of and execute process related to internal and external voice of customer. Deliver reporting, assess effectiveness of processes.  Supports the assessment of payments ecosystem trends and market needs (external & internal). Builds and maintains collaborative internal relationships cross-functionally.  Understands the payments market landscape.  Supports appropriate industry relationships. Conducts components of analysis, including research on the market landscape, financial analysis, and due diligence. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to support aspects of strategy development, business optimization, and business growth initiatives. Fosters a culture of effective risk management, accountability, and demonstration of risk awareness across the organization.

How You’ll Do It

• Research and investigate industry trends and opportunities, including some direct industry engagement, in support of Discover’s strategy by utilizing methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Works on problems and projects of diverse scope related to developing business strategies and objectives.
• Conducts analysis on business opportunities and business projects.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support processes related to strategy development and required due diligence.
• Supports development of presentation materials regarding opportunities, analysis, and or transactions and recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications You’ll Need
The Basics

• Bachelors Business Administration and Management or related
•  In lieu of education, 6+ years M&A, investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory, consulting, or related

Bonus Points If You Have

• Masters Business Administration and Management or related
• 2+ years M&A, investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory or related
• 1+ years Payments, financial services, or related

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $77,500.00 to $131,500.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
